What is Activity Setup?

Activity setup is the process of allocating activities to machine setup for different uses inside the company It based on the type of material or job order received. It help to keep smooth entire production process with efficient setup plan.

Overview

This feature of the ERP system helps to create the activities and setup as per their capacity and required time in days and allocate them to machine setup This keeps an effective track of all the utilized resources and smooth production plan.

Use cases

Suppose that there is a company Shri Sai Pvt. Ltd. that handles 3 different types of job orders from its clients. All these job orders require different types of input materials on different machines. Hence, the Setup feature allows them to allocate the resources as per activity performed and on which machine as per capacity and required. It help to keep smooth entire production process with efficient setup plan.

Steps to be performed for activity setup

1. Go to Production Planning.

2. Click on work center.

3. Now, click on Activity

4. Following screen will open.

5. Select Activity as required.

6. Enter setup code.

7. Enter description and Add capacity.

8. Click on save and continue.

9. Now, click on report to check complete list of created setups.

10. Here you can check details and download it in excel as required.
