What is Employee Self Service ?

Employee self-service, or ESS, is an available feature with most modern HR Services. ESS allows employees to take care of many different human resources-related and job-related tasks that would otherwise need to be completed by human resources personnel or management.

Overview -  

In Zenscale, Employee self-service software (sometimes called an employee portal) allows employees to view and manage their payroll . Each employee has their own login information to an individual account.

The self-service portal for employees can be a huge time saver for user. Employees can do more payroll and HR tasks on their own. When employees are less reliant on you, you have more time to run your business.

What your employees can do in the employee self-service (ESS) system depends on what you and your system allow.

Use cases 

Suppose a company name with Kajal Private Limited. In this company there are 500+ workers. when they were using manual method they face many problems such as miss match attendance or salary. In there old method there employees turn by turn to verify there attendance and salary and find out lots of errors or mismatched salaries. With our zenscale self service feature this procedure is very easy to manage for them and with the help of this feature employees can check there attendance on daily basis and at the end of the month they verify there salaries after processing through there own mobile phones. In addition this app also allow them to apply there Leave, Short leaves, Expense claim,loans etc.. directly with there android mobile phone or desktop.

How to Activate Self Service App :- Following below steps to activate self service app :-

1. Enrollment > Unsubscribe

2. Unsubscribe > Self Service

3. Self Service > Subscribe

4. Refresh the page.

5. Activate below settings based on your needs

  • Location Restriction :- With the help of this setting user restrict the area of punch based on given radius.Follow below steps to set radius :-

1. Enrollment > Self Service

2. Self Service > Location Restriction

3. Location restriction > Got to Mater

4. Add Radius and Save & continue

  • Mark Attendance Self Service :- With the help of this setting HR can give access to Employees to use their mobile phones for punching.Follow below steps to Activate mark attendance self service :-

1. Enrollment > Self Service

2. Self Service > Mark attendance self service

3. Mark attendance self service > Go to Master

4. Go to Master > In Out Punch

  • Salary Info (Mobile) :- With the help of this setting HR hide the salary information( Amount) to employees in mobile phone.Follow below steps to activate this setting :-

1. Enrollment > Self service

2. Self services > Salary Info (Mobile)

3. Salary Info (Mobile) > Go to master

4. Go to Mater > Click on given check box to activate the setting

  • Desktop & Mobile Self Service Login Employee wise :- With the help of this setting HR give rights to excess the self care login to employees on Desktop or Mobile Phones.Follow below steps to activate this setting :-

1. Enrollment > Self Service

2. Self Service > Desktop & Mobile Self Service Login Employee wise

User can activate this setting in Employee master (Enrollment) accordingly.

  • OD CC/Bcc Mails :- with the help of this setting User mention the another ID's in CC or Bcc for Official duty approval.Follow below step to activate this setting :-

1. Enrollment > Self Service

2. Self Service > OD CC/Bcc Mails * OD approval mandatory for this setting

  • Disallow Payslip In Self Service :- With the help of this setting user have rights to restrict to show the Payslip to employees. Follow below step to activate this setting :-

1. Enrollment > Self Service

2. Self Service > Disallow Payslip In Self Service

  • Set Mobile No. as Self Care Login Password :- With the help of this setting User set the mobile number of employees as password in employee login.Following below steps to activate this setting:-

1. Enrollment > Self Service

2. Self Service > Set Mobile No. as Self Care Login Password

  • OD Approvals :- With the help of this setting HR send the OD requests of employees to mentioned approving heads. Following below steps to activate this setting :-

1. Enrollment > Self Service

2. Self service > OD Approvals

  • Desktop Self Service :- With the help of this setting user allow or disallow transactions or reports viewing access on Desktop.which is given below:-

a) Expense Claim

b) Short leave

c) Leave

d) Reimbursement

e) Attendance

f) Salary

g) Official Duty

h) TDS Saving

i) Loan

j) Mark Attendance

k) Subordinate's Access

  • Mobile Self Service :-With the help of this setting user allow or disallow transactions or reports viewing access on Mobile phones.which is given below:-

a) Expense Claim

b) Mark Attendance

c) Loan

d) TDS Saving

e) Official Duty

f) Salary

g) Attendance

h) Leave

i) Short leave
