What is Customer Aging?

Aging involves categorizing a company's unpaid customer invoices and credit memos by date ranges. Schedules can be customized over various time frames, although typically these reports list invoices in 30-day groups, such as 30 days, 31–60 days, and 61–90 days past the due date.

Overview

Via aging user can easy access which bill is pending for a long time. And can easily get the old payments from customers. Also they can see pending payments on single page.

Use Case

Suppose there is firm “XYZ Ltd”. They have lots of customers so it is not possible to check all customers one by one.

With this option, user can check all customers with pending balances. Even if any customer advance is standing at user side. System will show that too.

Steps to be performed for Customer Ageing

1.Go to Account Receivable

1.1.Go to Reports and click on Customer Aging

2.Customer Aging: Here user can see all details. This view is “Without Financial Year” i.e. if any bill is pending in previous year than it will pick bills posting date and as per that it will show that bill in slab.

a)User can see here All slabs, Agent name, payment term and due amount based on that and advance payments.

3.User can change Slabs by click on “Manage Slabs”.

3.1.User can set here up to 6 slabs.

4.If user want to see ageing with financial year then go to apps and activate Account receivable app and De-activate the settings “Ageing without financial year”.

4.1.Aging-> With Financial Year, it will show complete ledger summary in report. If any bill is pending in previous year then the value of that bill will appear in Opening balance only.

5.Click on marked button to see pending bills detail

5.1.See pending bills details

6.User can see the report “Document Date Wise” and “Posting Date Wise”.

6.1.User can print & download the report.
